Literally just found out about this, he’s leaving by 2028 so that either means that Max is going to McLaren with him or Max is retiring, since Max has said he doesn’t wanna race without GP

Ehh I think that’s jumping the gun a bit, it without a doubt influences Max’s mindset about his future and definitely could have been based on what GP may or may not know about that though — imo I think this was the deal that was rumored pre-season and GP decided to stick with Red Bull to see how the season would go, and because of all the uncertainty with Max rather than take his chances on his mate staying in the sport he’s going to a team where he’ll be a team principal (prob Constructor’s)
