i agree, but papaya rules was basically what charles and lewis perfectly executed this race. if there was #1 and #2 driver stuff going on, they wouldn’t have been fighting and would have been going after kimi instead of falling behind

You’re severely underestimating how good the Mercedes Pu straight line speed and tire wear is. The most they could do was hold George back for 5 laps that’s it. There was no strat that could let them win so they are free to race for the podium or they wouldn’t have done so otherwise.

yes and george isn’t held back by them fighting; them fighting helped george get through. my main point is papaya rules just means free to race just don’t touch
