Unfortunately people automatically assume that every incident he’s in is his fault (he is a lot of them but not all). People just kinda choose to hate him because he took the Red Bull seat for 2 whole races. He stands his ground very hard and then others push into him assuming he will move and when he doesn’t it causes an issue.
