right so. Ollie was on the Feeder Series Discord server from its founding in 2021 until early 2024. in late 2023 people were discussing the Lewis Hamilton Fortnite skin and he chimed in by saying “where can I buy him”. nothing too weird, later messages showed he was genuinely curious cos he actually hopped on fort with some others in the server. But some users reacted to it with 💀 and a couple people joked about slavery. two years later people found it, dug it up and got the wrong idea. (cont)

F1 twitter then used this exchange and some earlier (tbh valid) criticism from Ollie on Hamilton’s driving (and in one case a “Latifi better” joke) to claim he had been racist. Totally ignoring any other messages he had sent supporting Hamilton (before the move to Ferrari). Pretty ridiculous… It all started because someone found a goofy copypasta Ollie posted there in 2021 and a load of people joined last night out of curiosity and unearthed more. I believe all his messages have been deleted now
