its rare for redbull to pick outside of their family. would be interesting for sure but dont think mclaren would be keen on losing oscar

He did. But he had race wins at Ferrari in the car that he got podium’s with at Williams is now gone. The new regs really have hurt him bc the best he can do is MAYBE get into the points and by the time he gets himself out from under the dumpster fire that is Williams it’ll probably be too late for him to truly compete in or with the top 4 and be able to keep up

Recall too that laurent meckies was the racing director for the majority of the time sainz was at ferrari

also this is probably less important but a lot of contention why sainz left red bull iirc was bc of max and jos and a lot of people that would not want him in the redbull are no longer there

also it would definitely help oscar negotiate his contract with mclaren if redbull showed interest in him. i’m sure it’s what lando did also when they wanted him
