be careful using sewing pins for the permanent body pins! they can rust and damage the specimen. i personally use size 00, 0, 1, or 2 insect pine specifically for those pins and the regular sewing pins for the others

They’re not permanent don’t worry:) I use these for the initial pinning because I’m lowkey blind 😭😭

I watched a couple of YouTube videos :) if you just look up insect pinning and go to older videos there are some really good resources on it!!

PLEASEEE I was moving one to a pinning board and got stabbed in the finger and fully went “damn I didn’t know butterflies could bite” ?!?!??
