I’ve heard Momma deers leave their young and return to them regularly

does it seem distressed? i.e panting, wheezing, vocalizing or walking around?

its been chilling all day until just now but that could be attributed to thunderstorms that just started. its just kinda pacing from under a balcony to the yard to right outside my door right now

call your local animal control/wildlife department, they’ll be able to direct you

This is true, deer hide their young so they can graze and come back. It’s so the baby doesn’t have to get all tired trying to keep up with momma + parading a small weak deer would attract predators
