Environmental Baddies on Sidechat | anybody have any ideas on how to feed a disabled butterfly? i know that sounds kinda weird but he won’t eat in the normal way (nectar on a cotton ball) or even from fresh flowers i brought home. all he wants to do is sit on my hand

If you found it in a colder area, I’m really sorry but it may be on it’s last days. Insects have a short lifespan, and not all swallowtails migrate. The best you can do is minimize pain. If you feel comfortable performing euthanasia, place them in a container in the freezer- it triggers torpor and they fall asleep peacefully before they die.
