
No worries! I think some hardcore vegans unintentionally turn people off by asking that they make an all-or-nothing change on the dime. Food is very personal along with being a basic necessity. But I also don’t disagree that cutting down on unnecessary meat consumption would help reduce environmental footprints and accidental pollution/zoonotic spillovers.
While ‘better’ alternatives like agroecology or integrated farming aren’t 100% foolproof, gradual transitions and putting further pressure on industrialized agriculture (especially if it’s buying out local small farms) goes a long way. It should exist alongside our criticisms of Big Oil and the AI industry.
