I don’t think it’s passed yet, pretty sure it’s headed back to the house

we’re the only country where we look around at everyone else and post on social media wondering what we’re going to do. in other countries they strike, they take to the streets and dump manure on government buildings

The problem is we are having billionaires vote on if their taxes should decrease, they can say whatever they want but they will always vote for it

Yea I read a bbc article that said something like that but still it’s passed both the senate and the house so I’m just scared. The senate was the biggest roadblock we had

Yeah no fair enough, ig it is essentially passed. I’ll never be able to comprehend the cowardice of our congressmen to allow this to happen. It hurts their constituents too

Idk I’m just really fucking scared. I hope it can still be stopped but this just is terrible.

Honestly I don’t think it can be stopped. Republicans are on a very short leash. Maybe it’s numbness or something but it hasn’t hit me personally yet. I sort of think that we need to get to a really bad point to wake people up but I don’t know what that point would be. Things are already pretty bad

No offense but that doesn’t inspire much hope in me😭

We’re also one of the only countries where the cops have machine guns and literal tanks. Like I get what you mean and we should do more of that but I’m just saying there are practical reasons for it beyond just victim blaming Americans for being too scared of the cops to protest as effectively as in other places.

True. I just don’t agree with the idea of shaming people for not doing enough I don’t think that’s effective or helpful.
