It is animal abuse to keep a husky in a place where the temperature goes above 86. People who do that should have their dogs confiscated and charged for animal abuse

Is my husky abused? She lives in town where it can be 90° in the summer and -30° in the winter. Do tou feel she is abused?

So the north of the country is a gray area and everything underneath New England is considered abuse

It truly comes down to how you deal with it as an owner, just because it’s hot outside doesn’t mean the pet is suffering, she enjoys ac and going for swims with me, drinks plenty of water and I never leave her out in the sun for long. I do think it’s irresponsible to have a cold weather dog in a place that never gets cold, but if they just have to get through the summer they’ll be fine.
