How do I convince people? 1) my friends and family to not use AI 2) people to not feed wildlife

i like to explain how feeding wildlife just kills them faster. they will literally the main reason they will die because the wildlife will A) lose foraging skills and rely on feeding B) get too comfortable with people & be killed or kill a human (considering deer) and C) congregation of animals at a feed site will more easily spread disease and draw in predators for easy prey.

I always bring up the water deficit and how much water data centers take to keep their servers cool. In Memphis TN (where I live), the xAI data center emits so much gas that it’s literally illegal. They also pump water into the Mississippi which is obviously bad for the environment not to mention the people who get their water from there.

They have been talking about it on the news here for a while and in my climatology class we looked at the emissions for an assignment

unfortunately i think a lot of this info and data is so localized that you’d have to find it for your own area, unless there’s a grassroots movement out there that’s been collecting the data and tracking it.

Yeah it’s mainly just local reporters and news networks. Like I was talking to my friend in Nashville and she had no idea what was going on with the data center here
