Hey baddies i have a cockroach question for y’all. I got this big guy who likes to patrol my bathroom but he’s so big it freaks me out (probably like 2.5 or 3 inches long). Is there a way to deter these guys rather than kill them? Thanks!

It’s good you didn’t kill it! They release chemicals at the time of death that attract more to their spot! Try lavender essential oils (or better yet actual lavender) at entrances. It’s a natural pest repellent! Lemongrass too

Yeah honestly I made peace with the other fellas that live in my apt (smaller bugs and a raccoon) but this guy freaked me out for some reason. Put him by a dumpster 2 blocks from my apt so hopefully he’s got a new crib by now 🙏

I don’t think a raccoon should live in the walls 😭 (or any animal) it could mess up some wires and get hurt

Yeah ideally not but what can I do? My landlord won’t do anything when I’ve asked and I don’t wanna board up the holes because I don’t want to trap the raccoon and pups inside

Yeah they’re genuinely complete assholes. Refused to replace my missing smoke detectors or fix my leaky gas stove 😄 but I live in Arkansas so there are essentially no renters rights

Jesus I’m sorry😔 That shits ass. Maybe get together with the other tenants and demand changes cause that’s the only thing I can really think of. Maybe talk to a lawyer and see if there’s anything that can be done with your states laws. But yea either way that sucks I’m sorry boo.
