What do flys get out of landing on you?!? Is it the sweat? Also how do you deter them? Stg car camping in the summer is the worst, either the heat gets u or you open the windows all the way and the flies get you

Deet or long clothes or weed smoke. My mindset when it comes to bugs tho (excluding deer flies they make me tweak) is that im a guest in the bugs house and if they land on me so be it

usually diluted peppermint oil has helped deter bugs for me in the great lakes region. also super clears your sinuses and you smell like an old lady.

Agree with this here! There’s a lot of natural recipes for bug sprays, you can also usually find them in specialty stores. They include oils that are deterrents. Don’t necessarily kill, but make you nasty to them You can also invest in mesh window covers to keep out any big bugs if you are car camping

Rhetorically I completely agree with that but unfortunately flies do wake me up and keep me up when they walk on me, just can’t help it. Wish I could ignore them tho
