How do you safely store things like bones, shells, eggs, etc?

Closed container (mice like to chew on these things) with a stick of cinnamon or a breathable bag of mint leaves. Cotton cloth for cushioning

But how do you make sure they don’t grow mold/bacteria or like rot? Unless the cinnamon or one helps with that

Cotton and mint will reduce rot. Cinnamon helps with pests. Also make sure all the grease/membranes/yummy goo is fully removed from all your goods
