anyone know if this is confirmed a leech, and if so, what species? i live in SW Ohio and ive ran into these in a few creeks clinging onto rocks. once even on a deer skull. i always assumed leech but cant find any species that look like them.

they’re ~1cm in length. i really don’t know my parasites very well, but it just *really* seems like a leech lol
