Everyone loves talking about not using AI, or not driving or flying. But no one wants to talk about eating less meat.

idk why you’re getting downvoted you’re literally right 😭 it’s not like you called anyone who isn’t vegetarian a horrible monster. Even just cutting down on beef and eating more of different proteins like chicken or fish or whatever is beneficial and you don’t even have to reduce the actual amount of meat you consume

I’m not even vegan or vegetarian and like, those just aren’t sustainable for me personally long term, but I do cut back on meat more so than most people who have it every day and the meat I do buy is from local farms where I know how the animals are treated and know they aren’t being factory farmed in unsustainable ways.

It’s because we don’t want to give it up ultimately. The other things are much easier to do but when a lot of our food is actively toxic to us, it’s a lot harder to cut out a main food group. Also that the others are new things invented but humans being omnivores has been our whole life so the push back on it is harder

Ironically rabbit is the most environmentally friendly meat if you want to eat some but are trying to cut down on

idk why i was downvoted but CAFOs are “concentrated animal feeding operations” which cause massive water pollution issues for waterways AND are heavy consumers of freshwater AND cause major methane gas emissions. we hate CAFOs!

i’ve never had rabbit meat actually! i assume it’s environmentally friendly due to their high reproductive rate and relatively small water consumption (in both their bodies and their provided food) compared to other animals. super neat to think about! thanks for the fun fact!!
