Avoiding large corporations and brands that directly impact the environment. Up cycling and thrifting rather than buying new. Working with wildlife and educating the public daily.

tips for cutting down on plastic (single use and long term!) - replace ziplock bags with reusable bags, ofc reusable shopping bags, stainless steel or even glass tupperware, refillable soap (hand, body, house cleaning) and detergents, never using plastic water bottles, utensils, or straws (i carry my water foldable reusable straw with me), bar soaps including shampoo and conditioner if u want, powered detergent is also good, don’t buy the shit at the grocery store with 20 million smaller bags in

one bigger bag, shop in bulk for products like cereals, grains, nuts, baking ingredients, etc, REUSABLE PRODUCE BAGS (i love these!!), stop using the plastic coffee pods and ground coffee, thrift anything u can, don’t use plastic dishware, use q-tips with wood instead of plastic handles, non plastic toothbrushes, sustainable menstrual products if applicable (menstrual cups, discs, even reusable pads), razors without disposable blades

my guess is cutting the loops prevents them from getting wrapped around the limbs and necks of animals, like how you should cut 6-pack rings and stuff
