the DM has been hinting my character (broody emo human wizard, tragic backstory) and my friend’s character (kobold cleric, patron of the goddess of light and beauty) are “intrinsically linked” for like 20+ sessions. today I went digging to try to find-

-what the link IS, because our characters basically disagree on EVERYTHING. ALL THE TIME. Constant arguments and bickering (in character lol). And I started to get convinced the “link” was that my character was actually linked to the god of death (evil demon and basically our BBEG). And my DM was basically like “mayyybe the link is that you’re meant to fall in love 😃” lol my character is going to have a heart attack

so basically I had this whole freak out that my character was somehow linked to a world-ending demon and then found out the DM basically just ships us so hard he wrote it into our destiny. and now my character is just sitting on that knowledge and I have NO clue how (or if) I should tell anyone else.
