Bard and sorcerer go really well since they also charisma cast. I would personally recommend bard because you can spec more into blades since you may just end up Eldritch Blasting when it comes to casting as most locks do.

Artificer. It’s a half caster, so you gain a LITTLE help with melee, but you can RP your new inventions as inspirations from your benefactor trying to have their ultimate creation made through you

Rogue. No justification. Just do it

Paladin. While your oath gave you power, the god you serve blessed you with other powers for a price.
