Ok so my current campaign has a bunch of pop culture references. For example: I just introduced the 10th Doctor as an NPC, and I need some other ideas because it’s fun and funny. Any suggestions?
Matthew Mercer as a story teller. Jordan the stallion as someone with a bunch of information. Ash ketchem as a bounty hunter.

You always gotta sneak in R2D2 and C3P0 in there somewhere and if you’re feeling extra crazy, Monkey D Luffy.

The avengers are another adventuring party (iron man is an artificer, hulk is a barbarian, etc.)

A group of really suspicious people who are very bad at hiding the communicators they’re constantly speaking into. Your party sees them get beamed up, but one of them gets left behind as a practical joke by their shipmates.

Well the Doctor made sense because he can go anywhere at any time so I didn’t need to fit my story into any sort of time period or world. I’m looking for other things like that. For example: I’m considering maybe a member of the green lantern corp showing up 😂

Do Guy Gardner featuring his bowl cut 😂

Is this a Star Trek reference or a Team Rocket reference?
1
AnonymousOP16w
I was intending Star Trek, but it could end up being team rocket.

Genuinely how have you never heard of her in this day and age? No hate just kinda confused how you know pop culture references without knowing who she is.

Anonymous#416w
Again no hate I’m genuinely confused
1
Anonymous#416w
No hate taken, I’m just not a huge anime person

Miku isn’t so much anime as she is music. She’s a synthesizer with a mascot called a vocaloid and she’s really prominent in a lot of pop culture spaces
1
AnonymousOP16w
Fun thing…she’s not actually from an anime. She’s a vocaloid character. Basically, a voice pack that people used to make songs just using sounds
2
Anonymous#416w
Huh, never heard of that. I’ll have to look it up, thanks for the recommendation!

Well it would have to be an original lantern. I mean, can you imagine a tortle or elf green lantern??? How sick would that be?!
