Ok so my current campaign has a bunch of pop culture references. For example: I just introduced the 10th Doctor as an NPC, and I need some other ideas because it’s fun and funny. Any suggestions?

A group of really suspicious people who are very bad at hiding the communicators they’re constantly speaking into. Your party sees them get beamed up, but one of them gets left behind as a practical joke by their shipmates.

Well the Doctor made sense because he can go anywhere at any time so I didn’t need to fit my story into any sort of time period or world. I’m looking for other things like that. For example: I’m considering maybe a member of the green lantern corp showing up 😂

Miku isn’t so much anime as she is music. She’s a synthesizer with a mascot called a vocaloid and she’s really prominent in a lot of pop culture spaces
