it looks epic, I’m just worried it’s gonna give out one day under the weight of ur desk. If it’s strong enough tho, hell yeah

This is great!! My roommate and I made a hang out space under her loft bed and it’s so nice. As someone with the exact same dorm beds, I am completely confident that shit is not going anywhere, those steel frames are built STURDY and there’s no way to dislodge them without removing the weight on top and using a mallet 💀

What are you using as your floor for the desk and stuff what is that

Stupidest layout I’ve ever seen - the bed can obviously lofted to the very top with plenty of space for the desk this is insane

I don’t think this is very practical especially if u want to do the deed lol. It’s also not good to sleep on the floor for long periods. I would recommend getting bed raisers so the desk can fit under the bed

That’s like worrying ur bed will fall while you’re on top of it

upvote 350 downvote
default user profile icon

But I don’t weigh as much as as wooden desk so it’s not exactly the same and I don’t have a fear of it falling although it’d be hilarious if it did 😭

I actually weigh more than the whole set up, the desk is like 50lbs max

upvote 70 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous 31w

It would actually, me and my roomate originally did this because our AC is hot ass, so it was nicer sleeping down low

upvote 4 downvote
default user profile icon

Not really, I can sit up in bed if im hunched over a lil, but the springs that go across are great for propping my phone up and watching movies

upvote 10 downvote

Its high quality plywood and carpet, I stapled the carpet around the plywood so it stays, and the plywood rests perfectly in the frame that used to hold the mattress

upvote 13 downvote

I fully can, but its just too hot, and too not cool. The whole setup weighs significantly less than me, and the frame is built for a LOT more weight than me

Literally 😂 I think the only thing would be to remember to pull your mattress out and let it air out pretty regularly cause when mattresses are on the floor with no space they start growing things 😬

looked it up and it said 115-200 so yeah ig if it can hold a person the desk is probably fine. Only concern would then be can it hold the desk plus the person
