You can, but why would you not want your side known?

Yes. They legally cannot make you write one. At the bottom of the paper it makes you sign and agree saying you were not forced to write it

sure yeah but why would you refuse your right to a voice?

I mean, you’re getting paid to write out a statement for like 30 mins. Just take the pay, write a statement, and boom. Even if you don’t think you “witnessed anything of value” I’d still write one 🤷♀️

Yes. They kept pushing me and so I wrote “eat my ass” on the statement and signed it.

Because I had nothing to do with this incident I was just a witness and I don’t feel as if I witnessed anything of value

Is your leadership requesting the statement or a Security Investigator?

Then just tell them you don’t want to write a statement. If they insist, you’ll risk pissing them off if you don’t, so just write “I did not witness anything relevant to the incident between X and Y” and sign it.

Say you didn’t witness anything on the statement. I’ve had to do that twice in attractions, once where I didn’t remember, once was I was in a position where I literally was not allowed to turn around.
