I think I’m more pissed off at the fact that people openly didn’t watch the show and voted for him anyways. Like I can possibly get if you’re asked by a friend to vote for someone, but just voting for Robert with no substantial reason to me is kinda bs. And I’m sure it happens w other people but not as significant as it did w him
and that’s totally fair but literally before the season even started i knew he was gonna win because of how many fans he has, many of them probably voting for him without even watching. idk about everyone else but that’s what i mean when i say it was “rigged”, this show is just a popularity contest at this point and i could talk for hours about it lmao
That’s just a feature of the fan vote. Many contestants have their own fanbase that at least partially consists of people who vote for them without watching the show. Alix has millions of social media followers, Jordan has gymnastics fans, Dylan’s brother Zac Efron posted on his social media for people to vote for Dylan, etc. You can dislike the fact that the public can vote because of this issue, but having non-viewers vote/being very popular isn’t unique to Robert and it doesn’t make it rigged
Like I also knew that he would win from Week 1 because of the fan vote, but that doesn’t mean I discredit his win. He won fair and square. I personally just think that the fan vote should be weighed less, but they’re two separate issues. And of course we should encourage popular celebs to come on the show so the show become more popular. Like I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing to have popular celebs on, it’s just a matter of weighting the fan vote better in my opinion.
