So, Jennifer falls in love with the lead singer of a band. They sacrifice her. It doesn’t go as planned. She comes back to life as a monster and, with rage, begins eating men. The reason it is feminist is because it’s about a woman who was a victim coming back to life and choosing to eat men.
Well. I think it had more to do with her anger than her wanting to stay beautiful. It’s just she said she was only going after men. Considering her horrifying experience, I don’t blame her. The movie, to me, was sending a message of “Oh. I was a victim, prey, but never again. You’re the prey and you’re trapped with me. And you can’t see that because of your icky sexism.” That’s what I felt through Jennifer’s actions.
