First time making stuffed crust pizza and new to making pizza in general. The pizza came out great but the stuffed crust was a bit lacking. If anyone has any tips that would be great

as someone who’s made hundreds of stuffed crusts (pizza hut cook) i’d say try to minimize how much you stretch your dough out. get it to the radius you want, add only a 1/2” extra, and roll and stretch that over it. then you crimp the edges of the excess down to keep the cheese in

Never tried making it, but is it true that regular string cheese is what goes in the crust?

Oh ok thanks for the tip. I was doing a bit too much dough by the sound of it

ya ofc! i hope the next one turns out rlly nice. also if possible lower moisture mozzarella for the crust is preferable

I use the same shredded mozzarella for the crust as I do for the cheese but I’ll make sure to give it a paper towel treatment. Do you have any tips for getting the bottom a bit more cooked? I already go on the power rack and the cheese and crust cook perfectly but the bottom can be a bit flimsy. Thanks for your help so far I appreciate it

I’m just using shredded mozzarella in the crust. I feel like you have to put way more in there than you think if your looking for a cheese pull

bottom of the crust can be tricky. i have a pizza stone from aldi which helps, i tend to just set my stainless steel pizza pans on it and it works wonders. but if you dont have one or the money to buy one, i hear a cookie sheet turned upside down can work as a replacement. just preheat it first

yes, actually! its just way easier to use a flexible cylinder of cheese than to use shredded bc of the consistent GIRTH. but its all just mozzarella when you think ab it!
