Idk why ppl shit on men specifically for 'never getting over their first love'. Don't most people in general have a soft spot for their first love? I don't think that's a guy thing, I think that's a human thing.

Like my first love was a horrible toxic mess and he's a crackhead now, but he's the ONLY one of my exes that I'd hug on sight. I feel like you have a lil bond with your actual first love for your entire life.

Idk I got over my first love REAL quick. Though to be fair, most guys first(or really ANY) relationships is probably going to be a hell lot more tame than mines(her bipolar triggered at what had to be one of my lowest moments)

Not everyone's first relationship is their first LOVE. Maybe she wasn't your first LOVE. Some people go through several relationships before their first love!! There's also a difference between loving someone, and being in love w someone. Lmao my bipolar was triggered at one of my most recent ex's lowest moments and that led to the final breakup. But this mf had a lowest moment every single day, I was beyond over it 😭 he'd stub his toe and need 3 days personal grieving time

Yeah you are right, or at least half right. I did genuinely love her at first but fell out of love the first 4 months of the relationship because I wanted to do what a lot of guys do and just stick it out. Looking back, I horribly regret that decision as she wasted a lot of my time. But I can see why I got over her so easily. And yeah I guess not every girl breaks up with their bf after developing bipolar. She also had a crazy messy friend. I am sure that contributed to a lot of it if not all
