I’ll never date a man that won’t cook something hell a turkey on Thanksgiving, Christmas or any holiday you’re not about to just sit in the front of the TV and watch the game while I do all the work.

For me looking for a partner I’ve joked saying I’ll cook and she’ll clean. Sarcastically, cuz obviously I’d like if she knew how to cook and I know how to clean.

In this hypothetical scenario are you also working anytime not during the holiday season or are you staying at home? Because my expectations differ based on that.

By “idk how to cook” I meant like, I haven’t cooked enough/often enough to be confident making something more significant and fancy

Like I probably *could* make a turkey rn if I had like instructions but I’m not confident in the kitchen

If you want to eat you gone help regardless. If you can’t help you don’t eat.

Oh nah. If I’m working the other 50 weeks out of the year and you’re doing nothing, the least you can do is prepare for the holidays as I actively fund your ability to do so.

Oh really so who’s doing your laundry? Who’s making sure the bills are actually paid on time? Who’s the one that’s cleaning the house and making sure you have a hot meal in your stomach every week? Oh OK if you have kids who’s the one getting them ready fed and out the door while you’re at work?

I don’t recall saying it wasn’t(?) I was simply saying how I would consider holiday preparations as being part of your job description for that season

If you were working on Thanksgiving itself I’d understand, you’d probably be real tired by the end of the day. But if you don’t help because…you’re working on other days of the year?? 😭 I am glad my partner does not think this way.
