My mom’s ED is beginning to scare me. She eats a piece of fruit for breakfast a granola bar at lunch and often skips dinner. When she does eat dinner it’s often cottage cheese a small side salad and a piece of fruit. If you bake anything she’ll break it->

Eating disorders need lots of patience. Take her out to places with food around and go to restaurants for “fun” but don’t make it about food. My old friend had an eating disorder and bringing it up DOES NOT HELP! IT MAKES IT WORSE! Now I’m the one with an eating disorder developing and I HATE when people say something. I feel like it’s the same way when obese people don’t like the “You’re getting too big” talk and proceed to eat more.

In half because it’s “too much sugar”. She’ll eat quinoa sometimes or a snack (like cherries which she said are “basically candy”) but she doesn’t eat enough. She also exercises everyday. She gets really defensive if you say anything. I don’t want to sit her down and talk to her bc I’m her child and ik she would see that as a failing on her end but I don’t think my dad is seriously going to have that talk.

Thank you, I’m really worried for her. She is vegetarian so there aren’t a lot of restaurants out here for her (rural Midwest) but I’m going to do some research and see if I can find anything. I hope you can get to a good place in your own journey
