Body shaming in all forms against all genders is normalized, that doesn’t make it okay, and it most certainly doesn’t help to fight body shaming with body shaming.

I sympathize with and understand your frustrations. And I don’t want to come off as tone policing or policing how other people cope with trauma, but I do see it as perpetuating the normalization of body shaming, which hurts everyone. Due to the patriarchy it’s already not normalized to express appreciation for the nude, male body, and the voices of people who are attracted to men are suppressed because only beauty standards from a straight, male lens is allowed in public discourse.
