i’ll instantly find a guy 1000x more attractive if i learn he’s in any type of helping profession. it shows he’s embracing his nurturing side, and for the most part is in touch with his emotions.

it can be a red flag for me bc i’m always wary of people who put themselves in positions of power over others. how much can you determine someone really cares when caring is what pays the bills? there’s a reason people with male drs and surgeons have worse health outcomes. i don’t even look up to firefighters anymore after some of them admitted to not saving black people and listening to them scream for help in a burning building

huh, that’s a really good point. honestly, by helping i was directing that at murses, teachers, therapists, EMTs, etc. ones where they aren’t fully in legal power, but rather there as a supportive person in the person journey. cause i get it with doctors and more powerful positions - im also very wary of them bc of that type of power.
