People who go out of their way to label themselves as any ‘type’ of person unprompted are usually pretty insufferable about it in my experience

i forgot where i learned this, maybe some communication fun fact, but essentially: “if something is evident, you should not have to say it.” because if they have to say it, usually the opposite is what people hear. for example, if a guy says to you, “I’m a Nice Guy,” people immediately assume he is NOT a nice guy.

What is “no bullshit” person supposed to imply? Someone that’s authentic? Someone that doesn’t start drama? Someone that doesn’t except your bullshit? I’m not really sure

and so if someone insists on telling you they are a “no bullshit” person or “drama-free” person (i also see this a lot), they are often times the exact opposite.
