Found out my dad has cancer and it’s been hard on me and my family. My best friend has called me sobbing everyday about being left on delivered by a boy. I wanna be there for her, but at the same time I’m annoyed. Like have some perspective..? Idk

Tell her to STFU and you have worse issues

Hey, just be honest and open, if you’ve had a friendship that long and she can’t take the hint it’s okay to be a little blunt about it.

I set a clear boundary and told her I didn’t have the energy to take on her problems rn. I feel bad but I just cannot deal and she’s been sobbing all day about a damn boy. Like I love her but she’s driving me crazy. and I’ve told her all this 😭

Maybe cut her off for a bit sounds like you have stuff that takes precedence and if she’s still doing it after you told her just goes to show you how selfish she is

We’ve been best friends since kindergarten, but I do think I need to take some space. Thank you

Thank you! I’ve been blunt numerous times. I really don’t think she’s in the mental state to grasp where I’m coming from so for now, I’ll take a little space
