I think it’s a little too nuanced to jump to that. Obviously there are different degrees of murder and wide range of circumstances. Like I don’t think someone should get much more than a slap on the wrist if they shoot and kill someone in genuine self defense. There are also plenty of people falsely convicted of murder, and giving no road to freedom is a very slippery slope
