The only people who viewed it as a mental illness were old white dudes in the last 100-200 years. Before that for all of history cultures all over the world throughout all of history accepted multi-gendered or trans-gendered people

and while I understand your point, we as a society have progressed so much today that we’ve deconstructed money issues yet with identity we refuse to deconstruct it identity has now become political identity was never political it was status and money

Correct, and i’d like to add women have also never been seen as human. They’ve also been seen as a symbol or a representative as a whole. Men are the only people that have had the privilege of being seen as human first. Women have barely recently got a voice and as woman started to be seen, other identities rose to the stage

Not all progress is good, or even correct. It is alll too often progress is more often agenda and emotional based rather than based on facts. As for the mental illness part, the black professor that taught me about that must be racist also based on #1’s comments. Sad that people still paint things as just black and white, when most issues we all face are multi dimensional n color.

fair point however this progress is backed by hundreds (if not thousands) of studies and supported by every major medical organization worldwide
