As a bi woman, same. I think they find it ‘hot’ in some type of way for whatever reason. I’m like you, OP, in the sense that i want to find a genuine connection with someone and not just a random hook up that the average person in today’s society has. (i have found it already! I have a lovely fiancé who is the most supportive and loving man i have ever met!)

Exactly dude. Like.. I don’t want sexual things with strangers. I want to know people and care about them. It feels weird and gross. Just like somebody I don’t know at all being like “I love your stubble and I want to *graphic descriptions of things and request for pics*” Like no dude. Thats not gonna work for you ever getting a date or affection. I imagine for women it’s significantly worse cause most men are attracted to you folks. I mostly only deal with it in online queer spaces luckily.
