idk why people act like a kid needs a mother AND a father otherwise they’re completely fucked. i genuinely can’t think of any reason two dads or two moms couldn’t raise a kid. or even a single mom/dad. like as long as the kid is being cared for who cares

For me it’s not about the gender of the parents but the amount, since one person can’t make enough money to raise a child while being able to personally care for them at the same time I really don’t get why people think two of the opposite gender are necessary though

Bc it’s not the "norm" you’ll always miss out of stuff or see others fams irl or over the phone and be like damn what’s that like 😂(coming from someone who had one parent) the gay parents tho as long as they love the kid it should be fine I think but the single parent thing really does fuck with kids

I think a kid should be raised by as many people as possible. It takes a village and all that. There should be like 10 adults consistently in a childs life taking care of them while the others cant so everyone can get breaks and the child is raised with a varied point of view

ehh idk it’s def possible to make enough to support a child and also care for them. it gets easier as they’re older but after my parents got divorced my mom was a single mom and raised me without any support from him :)

my mom raised me as a single mother and did an amazing job. not sure why you'd think one person can't afford to raise a child given my mother was able to lmao

yeah that’s true! i feel like that’s not unique to single parents tho, like there are a lot of experiences not everyone gets as a child. and idk maybe i just got lucky but my life got 1000% better once my father left and it was just me and my mom 😭😭
