i think some people don’t realize that humor takes a level of intelligence. truly funny people are able to read others and joke in a way that makes EVERYONE laugh. it’s insane how many people think they’re funny when they’re just assholes

It’s always “dark humor enjoyrs” too. Like no, dark humor is funny because you KNOW the person doesn’t really feel that way. So when it’s not obvious you don’t feel that way, it’s not funny. It’s just weird hateful slop

I don’t even think it’s a fine line. It’s a pretty thick line, people just cross it in a failed attempt to be “edgy”
