Growing up fat gave me a different personality than I think I would’ve had if I were skinny

I could dive into this, but I’ll give you the shortest I can. You were not handed things because “being fat” is not conventionally attractive. You’ve grown up with the mindset that you have to work for what you want, and validation from others didn’t exist. You had to develop an identity. Every aspect of you was determined by YOU, not by the acceptance and validation of others. In 15 years, that’s gonna make all the difference. You are more than superficial. You’re so much more than your surface

I think being seen as weird growing up made me develop a don’t care attitude now. If I never cared before why should care now. I might be a bit more attractive and in better shape now, but I’m still a nerd at heart and will proudly continue to be a nerd.

I don’t know otherwise but I definitely had to attract people towards me (friends) by being louder and more out there. Funnier etc. Kinda to convince them I wasn’t just different from them and that we could get along
