My friend was in the same boat, he didn’t think he deserved his girlfriend because he wasn’t making good money. Didn’t see a way to provide a good future for her so he self sabotaged and started pulling back. She got married a year after they broke up and he got fat/bald. Your situation is probably completely different tho.
