That study has fundamental problems based on what we know now about the brain. The sexual deviancy in that experiment wasn’t from overpopulation, it was lack of brain stimulation NEEDING something new so the deviancy in all behaviors was born (because any new experience provides necessary dopamine release that animals with a deficiency would need to survive) so the homosexual behavior was actually to keep them alive fulfilling a need.

Many animal species have naturally occurring homosexual populations without any intervention or overpopulation. Birds probably have it the most commonly (and they mate for life which is cute) like swans!

I think they are backing this up with “mouse utopia” a study on overpopulation and mice however they totally neglected to give proper stimulus or anything to the mice (they didn’t understand that was necessary at the time) and so the mice started going crazy (killing other mice) and acting abnormally to try and create stimulus for their brains (sexual deviancy was one of the behaviors)

It is naturally occurring in humans too, the way this has been proven is super interesting! They have done neurological scans (like MRIs and PET) on people’s brains comparing homosexual brains and heterosexual brains to actually differ, suggesting it’s biologically predisposed (as gay people have been saying it is) rather than caused purely by environment.
