Because you’re going to the churches that run themselves as a business and not as a church that follows Christ

Mathew 18:6 btw “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.” God never discussed homosexuality but constantly condemns pedophilia. Maybe next time don’t generalize a group of people based on facts and information you clearly know nothing about.

Yeah Islam practices do this a lot. It’s so sad.

Matthew 7:3 “And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own?” There are logs in the church, which should taken care of, these things that happen in the church are sinful and not god, but if you see something like this maybe this is the holy spirit telling you to make a change and do something about it. This is a super big issue and im glad you see that, we should definitely pray about everything not just homosexuality but also adultery especially from a leader

Bro this is frying me do you realize how homophobic and transphobic the orthodox community is. They dehumanize homosexuality because they see homosexuals as too far gone. And there is genuine proof against this unlike Christianity.

I mean, Christianity is pm just an expansion of Judaism Just like how Islam is pm just an expansion of Christianity (therefore, mega expanded Judaism) The Abrahamic religions are all just dependent on which book you're caught up with/disagreements over what is cannon and what is not cannon in the verse lmao

as a christian, it unfortunately is. but it’s more common in more southern, conservative, traditional churches. but it’s not rlly always the pastor but more so the random grandpapies, ushers, and deacons

It’s not an expansion of “Judaism”, but yeah it emerges from it with totally different frameworks. The Bible branches from Jewish scripture, and the concept of a “monotheistic” God evolves from Israel/Judaism as well. The council appears there as well. Idk why people act like it’s not just because it makes them uncomfortable.

it’s 2026. those who downvotes, do your research. jews don’t even worship jesus or believe he’s their lord and savior and that is literally the entire basis of CHRISTianity

find me a verse **with the context** that says it’s sin and even if you can’t find one, isn’t Gods entire thing loving and having mercy on sinners?

they worship the god of abraham isaac and jacob…wonder where you can find those in the bible you’re right that judaism is very different - but if you take a look at ALL religion there is similarities in the stories, practices, etc. it’s meant to be a beautiful thing

not quite the same but i love this take bc yes - all religion has areas where practices and beliefs are similar and it’s supposed to be something that connects us not separates us

I don’t know what churches you’ve been to, but during mass my Catholic Church has fully and explicitly condemned pedophilia, I’ve not once heard them condemn homosexuality or even hint at it. Most churches aren’t hateful

yeah I’m a queer Christian, and it’s a lot of laymen who assume that Christianity is all about being bigoted towards queer people but that’s never been the case 😭 most pastors I’ve met are wonderful to me. but people who know nothing abt their own faith use it as an excuse to sin by being hateful

find me one that says being trans is a sin *with context* because there’s even less “evidence” against them 😭 the Bible actually has a lot of supportive or analogous verses which is part of why I love Scripture
