I work in a library and the old people are either extremely nice and treat me like their grandchild or they yell and spit at me and there is no in between

physical and cognitive slowness are shitty reasons to resent innocent strangers. hating the job itself is totally fair, but elderly people’s minds and bodies are literally gradually deteriorating beyond their control… that’s gonna be you one day too, learn a little compassion

Ik it is im scared. Im just saying tho I get it but they also just mad mean too sometimes u can’t lie. My grandparents and great uncle weren’t like that at all. Some old people are just so mean as well. But how do they become children again tho I don’t get it when it comes to basic things
