Another thing is that you don’t know if OP has tried therapy, and if it has helped or hurt them. Maybe ask first. The fact that you woke up one day and decided “ maybe try therapy” is the equivalent of “get over it” does not make that reality. Political correctness has no jurisdiction in this matter. If someone had a flat tire and I said “maybe try the tire shop”,I would still be right. This is no different than addressing a “mental discomfort” with a professional in the field.
