It’s about discipline, I’m probably never gonna hit my kid either but I can understand why someone would. I have a few friends who are school teachers and they keep telling me that kids are getting worse to control because of a lack of discipline and accountability from their parents. I’m not saying parents should beat their kids but if your child is as out of control as some people say then you need to do something. Gentle parenting is a burden to society, people don’t know how to do it right.

That’s not discipline it’s abuse and your child being uncontrollable in those scenarios is a direct result of the parent. If you do not teach your child what is appropriate and how to regulate and they act like that they don’t deserve to be punished. Many parents refuse to do the work explaining and re-explaining so their child understands. It’s just cruelty and punishment, it does terrible things to their development and will cause issues later in life. The real problem is parents giving 1/2

Their kids phones when they are unregulated and giving them free rein over an addictive device like this. When that is taken away, the child doesn’t know how to regulate, again a direct result of poor parenting. Teenagers tho? You fucking know better
