Agreed. Just because you’re smart and have the talent doesn’t mean you’re cut out to be a doctor/nurse. Especially in settings like the ER or the ICU, you will end up treating criminals or people who got hurt doing awful things. You need to emotionally separate yourself and treat them like any other patient. You are there to administer care, not to act as a judge or try to administer justice. That is very hard to do, and is why not everyone is cut out for the medical field and that’s okay!
