I honestly probably wouldn't let my kid medically transition while they're a minor the same way I wouldn't let them get a tattoo or a boob job. I don't think that's transphobia, I think that's just saying body mod decisions shouldn't be made by children

that's not a thing anyways. no minors transition medically. maybe hrt or estrogen but minors can't get bottom surgery

But it’s not like getting a tattoo, it’s lifesaving medical care that stops trans kids from killings themselves

What if your kid has tried to kill themselves multiple times and their doctor recommends surgery to help with the kids mental health? This is the case many parents are in.

This is not the case many parents are in lol very few doctors recommend surgeries for trans kids. Gender affirming care doesn't have to entail surgery, and for kids, it rarely ever does

Yea “many” is probably hyperbole but as your study shows it still happens, should those kids (that doctors agree would benefit from medically transitioning) just not get healthcare?

making blanket statements like “I probably wouldn’t let my kid medically transition” leads pretty quickly to “I don’t think we should let any kids medically transition”

The article I linked does not show that doctors recommend gender affirming surgeries to help with trans kids mental health. It doesn't refute it, but it doesn't provide any evidence for that statement

And no it actually doesn't lead to that lol if I don't buy soda for my kids that literally has nothing to do with you and your choice to buy soda for your kids. I never said it should be illegal or banned or whatever l, I just said I wouldn't let my kids do it. You can do whatever you want
