Respectfully, debating people with opposing views does nothing. Everyone has their defenses up, the only satisfaction is that one person "wins" which doesn't even make them right, could just mean they're a better speaker. The real thing is understanding where the other person is coming from. Trying to find a common ground, speaking to each other as humans, not enemies.
