
I’m an anthropology student studying internet culture for my thesis, and while I’ve mainly been focusing on my schools Yikyak and the subculture that’s developed there, I don’t know anything about other potential subcultures on the app, could you tell a bit about what the cultural climate is here This can include political discussions, how popularity/reputation is counted here (from what I know Yikyak runs off reputation not popularity as a form of social credit, but I’m open to challenges) etc
And how prone to socialization people are here (on my yak, people don’t tend to block others even if they hate them so that they’re kept in the loop) I will say big question, how did people on here start developing their reputations, from what I recall, I abandoned my confessions yak project because no one posted unanon
