I’m a professional artist. People always expect me to draw them stuff for their birthdays. Someone has a birthday coming up and today is my day off. I’d rather die than draw on my off day can I just buy you something instead 💀

Literally. I love drawing don’t get me wrong but it’s the expectation to be down to do it ALL THE TIME that kills me. Like that shit takes effort man, I’m tired 😭

That’s totally valid! To be clear I could never hate drawing, but when you do it every day as your 9-5, you typically want a break from it on your off days. I still draw for fun outside of work, but any unpaid drawings that I feel obligated to make can be a drag. Especially when my holiday off work is the only time when I have space to fulfill said obligation 💀
